Our latest branding and web design project was a beauty. Or should that be hair and beauty? Ark Hair & The Retreat are hair stylists and beauty therapists based in Urmston, Manchester and they tasked us with creating a new logo, branding and a website that looked as good as their clients do when leaving their salon.
Having already traded for 15 years under the Ark Hair moniker, the business recently underwent a transformation, refurbishing their premises and turning part of the hair salon into a beauty salon named The Retreat, which is why they needed our help in designing a website.
They wanted our design to reflect their ethos of offering top of the range treatments and products, much like a city centre salon, but without the city centre price tag, and we feel we have achieved this with the new site. Prior to designing, we did some research into other hair and beauty websites and trust us, Ark Hair & The Retreat’s site stands head and shoulders (no pun intended) above the rest.
After just over a month’s worth of planning, designing and building, www.arkhairandtheretreat.co.uk was launched to coincide with the grand opening of The Retreat last week.
The new fully responsive website gives users the ability to search through all of Ark Hair & The Retreat’s products, services and prices while learning a bit more about the stylists and beauty therapists who work there, who between them have over 95 years’ experience in the hair & beauty industry.
As well as the website, we also designed the branding that goes with it, including a new logo and the look of the various printed collateral such as their various price lists, flyers, appointment cards and gift vouchers, all of which are now being rolled out throughout the newly refurbished salon.
Both our Directors Lynda and Scott have long been loyal customers to Ark, so this was a great project for them in terms of being able to return the favour and show them what we could do when it comes to branding, web design and integrated marketing.
