K2L in the Neighbourhood

There are several tired faces in the office this morning, as K2L enjoyed a team night out on Friday.

We’re a Manchester marketing agency that’s continually growing – just recently we’ve welcomed some exciting new clients on board, as well as several new members of the team. And what better way to kick-off the team-building than a night out, painting the town… Orange!

Us girls had been to the hairdressers, the boys had bagged some suits. Friday’s fun commenced when we wrapped things up in the office and set off to enjoy some of Manchester’s fantastic bars and restaurants. First stop – The Lawn Club. Hailed as an English-garden oasis amongst the towering glass structures of Spinningfields, we made the most of the warm evening, loving the last of summer’s good weather with some drinks on the terrace – but it wasn’t long before there was one thing on everybody’s minds… Food!

With a table booked, we skipped round the corner to Neighbourhood, Manchester’s very own answer to Manhattan dining. Located in The Avenue North, the restaurant offers a New-York inspired ‘diverse gastronomic experience.’ Well, they were right about that! Not only did we enjoy Manhattan but we got stuck in to Piña Colada and Cosmopolitan too!

The table was decorated with an array of accessories: crowns, jewels and feather-boas, so we spent our night resembling the cast of Moulin Rouge… At least we thought we did, until we saw the photos this morning. The food was delicious and the atmosphere lively, and a great night was had by all of K2L – thanks to Neighbourhood for the warm welcome and all the added sparkle!

Our fun and frolics certainly beat an afternoon making bridges out of paper (we think that’s what regular team-building involves) and our K2L night out made for a great welcome-to-the-team for the newbies. It’s definitely given our Monday morning a boost; the creative juices are flowing faster than the drinks on Friday night! Still, may your coffee be strong and your Monday short!
