Congratulations are in order for the K2L team on completing the BUPA Great Manchester Run on Sunday and raising over £500 for St Ann’s Hospice! Scott, Jodie, Carol and Jonny all overcame the heat to finish the 10k race in very respectable times.
Scott – 54 minutes
Jodie – 1 hour 18 minutes
Carol – 1 hour 5 minutes
Jonny – 46 minutes
First time runner Jodie Maguire absolutely loved the whole experience, she commented with a big grin on her face ‘The atmosphere was amazing, I’m so happy I finished – yay!’…a small victory dance followed.
Carol managed to overcome the nerves, dig deep and finish in a time she was really proud of, as did Scott who managed to beat his time from last year!
The four of them celebrated with a drink or two (or five) in the afternoon sun and soaked up the last of the brilliant atmosphere that this event generated!
So a big well done to you guys! You’ve done us proud once again!
