Salford ‘Red Devilution’ Campaign Beats Efforts by Doc Martens and Yardley
At the recent national Drum Network Awards, we grabbed the ‘Best B2C Campaign’ gong for our work for Super League rugby club, Salford Red Devils.
The ‘Red Devilution’ was conceived in little over ten days and rolled out over several months
It incorporated the design of digital assets, exhibition materials and a complete suite of brand collateral for the launch of the Red Devils’ 2014 season.
While the prizes are available to agencies nationwide, K2L made up a slim selection of nominees from the north.
This made the success against national entries for Yardley, SuperCasino.co.uk and Dr Martens all the more impressive, with every award category packed full of large London agencies.
In front of a room packed with the industry’s great and good, at the Emirates Stadium, K2L were announced as winners – a great winter warmer following our recent commendations at the Northern Marketing Awards.
Our director Scott explained why the win was a particularly special one for us, commenting:
‘The best thing about taking home this Drum Award, apart from a pat on the back from a respected organisation in our industry, is the fact our winning campaign was by a northwest agency for a local client – proof that there’s a wealth of creative talent outside London if you look.’
