This year, K2L Marketing have created something a bit different to engage people in the Christmas spirit. Using our trademark orange colour, we have designed the Little Orange Christmas Tree Campaign.
It all began back in the midst of our glorious summer when Christmas seemed like a distant dream. Our team came up with the concept to produce simple self-assembly Christmas trees which could be posted out to clients, suppliers and anyone else who wanted to join in the fun! The idea was that people would build their tree and take their new friend out and about to indulge them in all things festive. The journey of the LOCT is being documented in a series of photos and tweets as people upload pictures to a site dedicated to tracking the adventures of the tree – www.littleorangechristmastree.co.uk or tweet using the hashtag #littleorangechristmastree.
A series of emailers were designed to support the campaign. The first teaser email went out in November and has been followed up weekly to keep the campaign fresh in peoples’ minds. An animated Christmas e-card featuring the LOCT completed the supporting material.

With a prize of festive goodies for the best picture, there’s a few days remaining until the competition closes. So far, the LOCT has been seen frolicking with Salford Red Devils players, has been enjoying a beer or two on Christmas nights out and has even made it to the top of a mountain to find some seasonal snow!
As a fully integrated agency, we feel the LOCT campaign has enabled us to showcase our skills in producing successful integrated marketing campaigns. The combination of a strong but simple idea, teamed with the interactive element, a bespoke website and quality emailers has really been a sensation this Christmas.
