Darren Royle, son of former professional footballer and manager, Joe Royle, came to us with the desire to set up a youth football academy for the North West of England, with the backing of The Evostick and Euromatech Northern Premier League. Our initial objectives were to:
- Create and develop the NPL Football Academy brand
- Produce an entire host of branding collateral, including stationery
- Put together a full marketing strategy to raise awareness and build brand trust
- Design and build a fully responsive website that aptly represented the new brand
+ The Challenge
As a brand new venture, we knew we must create a brand that young lads across the North West would feel honoured to be a part of, and also a brand that their parents felt confidence in. As we were targeting such a varied demographic, the brand, plus all additional work carried out, would have to be appealing and relevant to a wide target audience. It would also need to do justice to this niche, new concept created by The NPL Football Academy.
+ Our Strategy
In order to achieve this, we art-directed a professional photoshoot, so that we had complete control over the suite of imagery that would be available for use on each marketing channel. The creative and web teams then designed and built a fully responsive website, produced a company presentation and designed stationery for the newly founded Academy.
The result? A fun, accessible brand that NPL Football Academy loved. The branding and website were also well-received by the target audience – generating a real buzz about the Academy. Now, the NPL Football Academy has enrolled over 250 students since its inception and continues to grow each year.
