We’re proud to announce that we’ve recently become a sponsor of Eccles Roosters under 13 Amateur Rugby League Football Club.
Currently working with and sponsoring Salford Red Devils, we were keen to extend our support of the sport by getting involved at grass roots level rugby.
Having played for the Eccles Roosters in his youth and hailing from Eccles himself, our Director Scott was eager to give something back to them. He attended a training session with the lads on Thursday 24th April to hand over the new kit and see it in action for the first time.
At the training ground Scott commented “Coming back here has brought so many fond childhood memories flooding back. I remember all the brilliant times I spent here and realise the importance of clubs like this for youngsters growing up, so it’s great to be involved. There’s some great talent in the team so you never know, if they carry on training like this, there could be a star in the making amongst them.”
Under the direction of Chris Irwin, Director of Coaching at Eccles ARLFC, the youngsters put in a great performance to show an impressed Scott what they are made of and certainly gave the kit a good first outing.
Chris enthused “Working with local businesses is fantastic for the club as we’re self-funded. The money that we receive pays for the equipment and facilities hire. To get money from K2L to buy a kit goes a long way for us and is much needed.”
Let’s hope the new kit inspires the Roosters to kick their opponents into touch!
