Weird Ape initially approached K2L for a new website and branding as they wanted to reposition themselves as being more fashion-focused, rather than just ‘cheap and cheerful’. They also sought more traffic, higher conversions and an overall increase in online sales. Our initial objectives were to:

+ The Challenge
Weird Ape also wanted to improve their online presence in terms of SEO. They are in an extremely competitive market and before they approached us, they ranked for very few of their desired keywords. Although they had amassed a respectable following on Facebook through paid social advertising and competitions, they weren’t engaging with this following, nor did they have much of a presence on Twitter.

We created an entirely new website for Weird Ape, featuring completely new branding that was coupled with a new eCommerce website design. Once the site was launched we implemented a strategic integrated marketing approach that included elements of content marketing, blogger outreach, email marketing, social media management and paid search.
Initial keyword research showed a number of extremely popular search terms that were relevant to Weird Ape’s products. Using this information, we were able to focus the on page content of the site around these keywords. Before long, Weird Ape began to appear higher in the search rankings for these terms.
