Well, that was fun! On Thursday night (08/08/14) the K2L team and clients were treated to a VIP night at to the AJ Bell Stadium to watch The Class of 92 v Salford City FC charity match. Salford City’s new owners, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt, Phil and Gary Neville all got their boots back on and brought some of their old team mates with them including, Robbie Savage, Mikael Silvestre and Quinton Fortune. Comedian Jack Whitehall even got on the pitch!
The match might have come a few years too late for the class of ’92 though, with Salford City running out comfortable winners in the end, beating the star-studded team 5-1.
After the game we were lucky enough to be part of a Q&A with the 5 stars, with guest’s questions being put to them by Sky Sports’ Geoff Shreeves. The lads were really laid back and in great spirits, and we all had a good laugh along with them. A couple of us even managed to grab photos with the guys and autographs!
It was a brilliant night, and even those of the K2L team who are less into football, to put it mildly, had a great time.
